Seasonal Wedding Flowers - Embracing Nature's Beauty

Delilah and Herb was founded from a deep reverence for nature - and that’s exactly what continues to shape how I work as a wedding florist today.

I wholeheartedly embrace eco-friendly practices and prioritise the use of seasonal British flowers wherever possible. Locally grown blooms are full of character - each stem has its own unique movement, scent and form. Their fragrance is often nostalgic and unexpected, adding a layer of depth that simply can’t be replicated. As a floral designer, there’s nothing more inspiring than working with flowers that are truly in their prime, shaped by the season and the soil they’re grown in.

Prioritising the use of British flowers first allows me to reduce my carbon footprint while supporting local growers, pollinators and biodiversity. That said, I know how important reliability is when planning a wedding - and if British-grown options aren’t quite right for your date, colour palette or design, I also work with a small network of trusted wholesalers to source the very best quality flowers from further afield.

I use entirely foam-free methods for all my floral work. Instead of single-use plastics, I rely on natural, reusable or recyclable materials and hand-built mechanics to create beautiful, thoughtful designs with minimal waste.

My approach is seasonal, considered and full of intention - with each design carefully tailored to reflect your venue, your vision, and the feeling you want to create.

If you’d like to find out more or talk through your plans, I’d love to hear from you.
